How easy is the ride?

The London to Brighton cycle ride is a challenge but achievable if you get out and train on the lead up to the day! When you sign up you will be given access to the participant’s portal where you will find training plans and tips.

What do I need to bring?

We recommend you have a well-serviced bike – it doesn’t need to be carbon–framed or anything special but it should be comfortable and well maintained. As well as your bike you must have a helmet. It’s up to you whether you carry a bag with you, but we recommend this is fixed to your bike rather than worn on your back as this can become very tiring.

How old do I need to be to take part?

You will need to be 16 or over but there is no upper age limit. However, all participants of whatever age should ensure they are fit enough to take part in the event. Please check with your doctor if you have any concerns.

Is transport provided back to London at the end of the ride?

Transport for both yourself (by coach) and your bike is optionally available. You will be able to book this after you have registered your place for the ride.

What mechanical support will there be?

There will be four stationary mechanic points (at the start, at the morning and afternoon water points, and at lunch) but if you’re unlucky enough to experience difficulties in between those points, the event organisers will also have roaming mechanics on call.

How do I ride with a group of colleagues or friends?

A lead organiser can use the booking link to book up to 20 people in one go using the link. Please ensure the participants’ names and email addresses are provided so the organisers can send them their “In Case of Emergency” forms. These need to be returned as soon as possible for registration and start time assignment.

When do I get my cycling jersey?

When you raise £100 at least four weeks before your event you will automatically be sent your jersey. Please make sure you let us know by email if your address or size changes at any time.
