Did you know that Joe’s Buddy Line now offers a bespoke service to companies to help them develop and deliver their workplace mental health initiatives?
This year we have been fortunate to work in partnership with Overbury plc, the UK’s leading fit out specialist, who started 2025 with an invitation to our Ambassador Roman Kemp to talk to their employees about his own personal experience of mental health and the importance of being able to talk about how you feel. In an emotional address Roman highlighted how you can support your colleagues and friends to open up about difficult emotions.
Later in the year, one of our lead mental health coaches ran a two-hour lunchtime workshop on Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health — designed for parents, carers and supporters of young people.
The impact was clear: attendees reported a rise in their knowledge of mental wellbeing (3.3 to 3.9 out of 5), as well as increased confidence in discussing (3.0 to 3.9) and supporting (2.8 to 3.9) others. Many shared they’d change their approach – listening more deeply, checking in with people who seem distant, and offering empathy over sympathy. One participant said: “I’m going to start listening and letting them explain their emotions… and not immediately try to fix their problems.”
Together, these small shifts create a powerful ripple effect of support in workplaces and at home. If you or your employer would like to explore how Joe’s Buddy Line can support your workplace mental health goals, email info@joesbuddyline.org.
