Joe’s Dad, Mum and Sister joined the capital team at the National Student Radio Awards 2021, to celebrate and honour the new Joe Lyons Best Producer Award.
On Wednesday 10th November, we went to the Student Radio Association’s 30th Birthday at Indigo, the O2 in London. We were honoured to attend to see the first year of The Joe Lyons Award For Best Producer.
What a well deserved winner Chris Steers was. So humble and kind, saying how “I’ve never met Joe, but everyone speaks so highly and fondly of him and it was a real honour to meet his family last night. I am proud to be the first to win this award and proud to be able to associate my name with him”.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible, to Sian Welby and Sonny Jay for their beautiful speech, to Global for creating this award, and of course Joe for continually inspiring others.
You’ve done it again Joe – Just another incredibly legacy you’ve left. We are always in awe of you and proud of everything you’ve done and are still doing.
